Welcome to Woodlands Primary
Woodlands is a happy, successful school where every child matters.
We want children to really enjoy their school life, to develop a life-long love of learning and to leave us with a great sense of their own self worth, ready for the next stage of their development in this ever-changing world.
Our dedicated teaching and support staff ensure that learning is engaging, interactive and lots of fun, and children are rightly proud of their achievements.
As part of our efforts to provide a well-rounded education, children participate in a variety of school based and community projects and activities, both daily and after school hours. The school is particularly well known for the quality of its sporting and creative activities and for the charitable work it undertakes.
The breadth of Woodlands' commitment to providing an enriched and creative curriculum is demonstrated in the awards the school has received, including Activemark, Artsmark Silver, Eco-Schools, Healthy Schools status, Inclusion Quality Mark and I Can accreditation for high quality speech and language provision.
Woodlands enjoys excellent relationships with a variety of external agencies which support the work of the school.
Our success to date, as highlighted in the most recent Ofsted report, is a testament to what can be achieved when the school's leadership team, governors, staff and parents work together towards one goal. We are always looking to improve and find new ways to ensure that our children have the highest quality educational experience possible, one that they will value for the rest of their lives.
